The Brief
Rahmania Travel needed a Local SEO engine that would consistently bring in qualified leads from its service area — people searching for Hajj/Umrah packages, group tours, and international travel from the US. The agency wanted measurable lift on Google Business Profile interactions (calls, direction requests, website clicks) and steady growth in organic traffic to the website.
The Starting Point
Going into the 2026 campaign window, the picture was typical of an early-stage local brand:
- Low domain Authority Score (single digits)
- Small backlink profile with limited referring domains
- A GBP listing that wasn't fully optimized for travel-specific categories, services, or photos
- Minimal presence in AI search answers and citations
The Snapshot — 2026 Performance
After a focused Local SEO program, the Google Business Profile and the website both saw a clear lift.
Google Business Profile (Feb 2026 – Apr 2026):

Website SEO — Domain Overview (May 19, 2026):

| Metric | Value | Change |
|---|---|---|
| GBP Business Profile interactions (3 mo) | 473 | +29.9% YoY |
| Organic Traffic (monthly) | 46 | +156% |
| Organic Keywords | 25 | +4.2% |
| Referring Domains | 93 | — |
| Backlinks | 177 | — |
| US Traffic Share | 22% | — |
| AI Visibility Score | 35 | — |
| AI Mentions / Cited Pages | 5 / 2 | — |
The Strategy
We built the program on four pillars:
1. Google Business Profile Optimization Fully optimized the listing — accurate NAP, travel-specific primary and secondary categories, detailed services (Hajj packages, Umrah packages, international tours, group travel), business description with target keywords, weekly Google Posts, geo-tagged photos, and an active Q&A section. Enabled messaging and bookings where available.
2. Local Citations & NAP Consistency Cleaned and submitted the business to top US citation sources and travel-specific directories. Standardized NAP across all listings, removed duplicate profiles, and built a steady stream of niche travel and local directory citations.
3. Travel-Niche Content & On-Page SEO Rewrote service pages around real search intent — Hajj 2026 packages, Umrah from USA, group tour itineraries, FAQs. Added schema markup (LocalBusiness, TravelAgency, Service, FAQ), improved internal linking, and built a small blog targeting long-tail travel questions to support both classic SEO and AI Search citations.
4. Link Building & AI Search Visibility Earned backlinks from US-based travel blogs, community sites, and niche Islamic/travel publications — pushing the referring domain count to 93. Structured pages with clear, quotable answers so the brand started getting cited in ChatGPT and Google AI Mode responses for travel-related queries.
The 2026 Playbook
- Month 1–2: GBP audit and optimization, NAP cleanup, technical SEO fixes, on-page rewrites for the top 8 service pages.
- Month 3–4: Citation building, schema rollout, first wave of travel-niche outreach for backlinks, weekly GBP Posts cadence locked in.
- Month 5–6: Content expansion (Hajj/Umrah long-tail guides), review generation flow for happy clients, expansion of AI-friendly FAQ blocks across landing pages.
The Results
- 473 GBP interactions in Feb–Apr 2026 — +29.9% YoY.
- +156% organic traffic growth with 25 ranked keywords and a 22% US traffic share.
- 93 referring domains and 177 backlinks built on a previously low-authority domain.
- AI Visibility score of 35 with active mentions in ChatGPT (2) and Google AI Mode (3), plus 2 cited pages — early but real traction inside AI search surfaces.
Key Learnings
- For a young travel brand, GBP is the single highest-ROI surface — interactions translate almost directly into calls and inquiries.
- A low Authority Score is not a blocker; consistent niche-relevant link building moved the brand from invisible to citable within a few months.
- AI Search is becoming a real traffic source for travel queries. Structuring content as clear, quotable Q&A makes the brand easier to cite in AI answers.
- Travel is seasonal — programs that align GBP Posts, content, and outreach with the Hajj/Umrah and holiday calendar compound much faster.
